Recently, several GE operators have used with great success.
One of the 7FA operators rinsed this product in approximately 90 minutes, compared to 6-7+ hours with a competitor’s product.
A GE 7HA rinsed 3 hours faster than they did with a competitor's product using more product for the offline wash.
Rochem Fyrewash® Inc. attended the LTUG Conference in the Woodlands, Texas on Tuesday, July 16th. We were at booth 69.
The Legacy Turbine Users Group (LTUG) is dedicated to offering an open forum through conferences and technological tools to facilitate effective communication, discussion, and information sharing on the operation, maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of turbine systems to maximize equipment performance and reliability. The Legacy Turbine Users Conference features individual user group sessions and a collective vendor fair.
This conference includes GE Frame 5’s, Frame 6’s and Frame 7’s.
Frame 5’s can be 40 years old and its best output is about 25 megawatts.
The first Frame 6B was installed in 1978 and its best output is about 45 megawatts.
GE’s first Frame 7 series was brought out around 1970 and went through several iterations with output starting at about 47 megawatts to around 91 megawatts
This is also why the conference is called the Legacy Turbine Users Group.
These gas turbines are workhorses and very robust. They are still used in refineries, cogens and some pipelines. They have made a bit of a resurgence here in the US, as renewables aren’t what they are thought to be.
More details to follow.
